Poem: You are still gone

You are still gone

and I am here
and it is not
anything
I have a right
to be upset by,
I have no claim
or control
or reason
that I should
feel harmed
by it,
but I do.
I will not
hold it against you,
though,
I know better
than that.
There is
a particular
loneliness
that I carry,
and I know
it is
within me.
I am aware
of the truth
even when
I am within
my own
illusions.
