Poem: There is no return

There is no return

That was clear
even before,
but now
is different,
is not just
the opening,
the release,
is not
ideology
alone.  It is
a practical
matter,
is the impossibility
of repairing
what has been
destroyed.
It has changed
from a metaphoric fire
to an actual match
and gallons of gasoline.
