Poem: I will be asked

I will be asked

and I will have very little to say,
will have nothing to tell them.
What would I tell them
that I didn't say before
and better and in the way
I wanted to say it?
Or maybe I did not,
maybe I said less
or more, or did not say
anything, only made
a space, a place to be filled
with thoughts, because maybe
it is easier to pretend
it comes from someplace
outside than accept
the other possibilities.
