Poem: I could have done all those things

I could have done all those things

or any of them, anyhow,
that is what I mean: any one
of them.  I had the chance
and I think I could have been good,
whatever I chose to focus on,
if I put in the effort
to learn and practice.
That is all I did, anyhow,
it is just what I chose,
where I focused.  I do not think
it was the only path
or the right one,
it was just the one
that I walked, the one
that I chose to follow,
the one I am living.
I have given it my heart;
I did not find it here.
