Poem: Weather

Weather

It was raining today, for a bit, at least,
while we were in the car
driving back south
after you saw the doctor
and we had lunch.
It was not a heavy rain,
and it did not last
for very long, I don't think.
I am not even certain
if it really happened
or if I am imagining
that it rained.  I think
it did.  I believe
that I am remembering
the rain and not
just imagining it
or recalling
some other time,
but what if I am?
It wouldn't change
anything important
about our day.
I would just
prefer to be certain
one way or the other.
