Poem: I must be patient and not complain

I must be patient and not complain

but it is past the time
when it was expected
and I am annoyed at that
because it wasn't as if
I created the option
or told them
just when
it was to be.
They made
there own obligation,
and it was not free,
was not something
that was done
without my choosing
to compensate them for it.
I still can't complain
or say anything much.
It is not long
and I should be kind
and have patience,
but there is
so little generosity
from those
on that end,
it is hard to muster
for my own response.
