Poem: I do not think you understand

I do not think you understand

and I do not want
to be caught trying
to make it clear
or hear
the results,
the opinions that grow
from your inability
to grasp or hold
what has been offered.
You do not realize
what it even is
and want
to reshape it
towards what
it never was.
That is not fine,
is worse, is harmful
to me.  I feel that.
I don't know
what we can do
when that is the case,
but I feel
as if it is another thing
I am not allowed
to realize
or react to.
