Poem: Your Request

Your Request

I think it will be
that way,
not what was planned
but that instead.
Things occurred
and it was requested
and I do not know
what is best,
what is right.
It will be hard:
there is a loss
that must be.
One thing
takes the place
of another.
It was mine,
but this
is another thing.
It may be needed,
and there is a reason,
a gain to be had.
It matters, yes,
but the other way:
it is for me,
is a thing I need
for myself.
