Poem: The Danger

The Danger

Do not show
so much
of the truth
in this place:
it is not safe here,
you are not safe here.
Not safe enough
to be so honest.
There is harm
waiting here.
Do not forget
which eyes
can see you
or what
they watch for.
It is not wise
to take the risk.
One day,
it will be fine,
even here.
I still think so,
though I know
it is not that way
in this place, tonight.
