Poem: I Do Not Know How It Was

I Do Not Know How It Was

I was not there,
but I am wondering
how it went.  I know
it was not easy for you,
I am certain of that.
I understand it, too.
I hope it was fine,
or not terrible,
or somehow better,
something more
and not expected?
I do not know.
I wonder,
but I think
you would say
if it had been bad,
had been anything
more than nothing.
