Poem:What Can Be Said That Means Anything

What Can Be Said That Means Anything?

You are right:
it has been said,
declared, promised,
but only said.
What has changed?
It is nothing to say it,
I know.  It is not anything.
What is needed is not words.
Words are not anything,
can be used to say
what will never be,
what is not ever true.
I do not want
it to be only words,
but, you are right,
I am saying that.
I must show
I am not only speaking.
