Poem: Tell Me Again

Tell Me Again

how this
was the only choice
that would work,
was the only thing
that could suit you,
and how that meant
I should be glad,
though it meant
I would be harmed,
would be betrayed,
though it hurts me
each day since.
Tell me once more
it was the only choice
that suited you.
Tell me again
that world insisted
you should harm me,
and how that means
it was alright.
