Poem: She Cannot Change

She Cannot Change

will not change, does not
allow it in herself.
I am not so different,
though it is in dimensions
that are not the same,
but the clash:
she wants her way,
will get her way,
has crushed me
beneath the wave
of her desired outcome,
and now, she will say
it is done already,
will say she is sorry,
but only now it cannot change.
When there was a chance
she was all momentum,
was force impelling this,
now, though, now,
she wants me to accept
she is sorry, wants the fact
it is too late
to work on her side.
