Poem: You Said It Was Special

You Said It Was Special

for me to do this,
that it was not a thing
you would allow
him to do, that it was
for me, and I should not
have ever believed you,
but it was what you said,
and now I want to ask,
but I know the answer
will be to say I am wrong,
that it was never that way,
because it is not enough
to hurt me with the lie,
you must be able to do it
in a way that allows you
to call me unreasonable
for being upset, can make clear
any hurt I feel is just an effort
to cause you harm.
