Poem: You Wonder Why I Am Upset

You Wonder Why I Am Upset

You chose
to do the thing
that you were told
not to do, and lied,
saying it was not
at all what was done,
disguised it, pretended
you had acted
as appropriate,
as had been promised,
as was agreed upon,
and now you are made
at my upset, tell me
I am being ridiculous
to have expected
anything different,
because it was easier
to do what you wanted
and my requirements
were not anything
you cared about,
did not deserve
your respect.  Why
would I be mad
about any of it
unless I was unreasonable
and expected you
to show me
you cared enough
to listen to my needs.
