Poem: If You Do Not Want To Sit

If You Do Not Want To Sit

it is fine, stand.  Either
is alright, but choose
one or the other
instead of getting up
to sit again, trying each
seat, and many postures
besides.  Stand, that
is acceptable as an option,
as long as you stand
there or some other place
not pacing an oval
as if it were etched
into the floor.  No,
be still instead,
if you are not still
for a few minutes
at least, it will be
too much for me.
Now is not the time.
