Poem: The Course

The Course

Each morning,
they bring out
the equipment
to maintain
the golf course,
although no one
can play now.

How many months
will it be until
anyone can tee-off
again?  It stands,
though, will be
kept in shape,
through these months
of quarantine,
a promise to the ones
who play that game
that what they cherish
will still stand
even after this.
