Poem: I was not prepared

I was not prepared

Even if there were warnings.
I knew enough I should have expected this,
but that is not how it came to be this way.
I can blame it on odd questions
or costs and cacti.  All are accurate,
are elements.  It makes sense
to those who already understand
which is the only way, really.
