Poem: No Agreement

No Agreement

What was needed was named
before anything else, it was clear,

but when it came time
what had been agreed to

became unreasonable, became too much.
The promises made were abandoned,

to ask that they be considered or kept
was called out as ridiculous.

What is to be done now?  What is left?
What was begun is not what has come to be.
