Poem: The Space Between

The Space Between

It is too small,
will not accommodate,
is too little, is shaped wrong,
is not enough, not right.
It is what is here, now,
cannot be changed
or made again.  It is too small
and cannot be changed.
It is not as it should be,
I'd nothing now, nothing
that is of use.  Nothing wanted.
But it cannot be gone,
will always be here,
too small for use
but too big
to be nothing.
