Poem: Good Judgement

Good Judgement

My mother says
her friend is flying
back to Jersey
on her private jet.

I comment how idiotic
I think it is, given
the current situation,
especially the northeast.

My mother
does not understand,
thinks I am
being judgemental.

How can it be?
Throughout my life
these were the people
I thought of as the adults.
