Poem: There Was A Theft, Today

There Was A Theft, Today

a thing stolen away,
taken from each of us,
removed by those
who do not own it
or have the authority,
but no one knows
yet what was taken
or what it means
that it is gone,
and those who stole it
will not allow
themselves to see
what they have done.
