A Writer's Notebook, Day Four-Hundred-And-Thirty-Four
I am going to keep this short as my leg is rather unhappy at present and I would like to go ice it for a bit. I am still apace with my poetry, but I need to get other work done as well. I need to come up with an idea for my play. I do have thoughts about this, including one or two that may be a bit odd but could be quite interesting and fun. It really is important to me to think of something that I feel has meaning beyond just being a small bit of entertainment, but that is not always the easiest thing to do, and it may be that I must trust that to happen intrinsically through the process. I don't know. I am going to play around with it and see, but I have not yet done that, largely because I've not felt up to it with my ankle sprained. The other work that needs to be done is really quite simple, and again is only delayed because of my lack of desire to go upstairs to my office in my current state. It is mainly to make some minor corrections and title a few poems that I am preparing to send out. I need to do these things, even if I am not feeling well. It was one thing when I thought my leg would feel better than this in a day or two, but now, well, I need to start being more serious about getting the work done in spite of that.
