Poem: When it gets this way

When it gets this way

it is not so good,
not that it is rotted,
because no
it is not rotted
or poisonous
or even bad
in any specific way,
just different
and strange
and capable
of being
the cause
of more
that is strange,
and that is (isn't it?)
a danger,
a threat
to this way
or that one,
or any other
that is taken up
as the one way,
the one that is right
or proper or acceptable,
and normal, yes, of course,
normal.
