Poem: I did not

I did not

and I don't think
it would have made a difference
if I had, though
I do wonder,
or maybe I wonder
if I had done it
would it represent
some shift beyond me,
like my choice
represents one
shift in a statistical sample.
I don't think so, not
in the rational
part of my mind,
just not the rest.
