Poem: The task was given to me in a dream

The task was given to me in a dream

I did not choose it
and I don't recall

if it was accomplished

in the dream
or if it was left to be done
or if it was given
in the dream
with some intent
it not be a task 
in the dream but
something more.
I do not know,
but I wonder
and I wait
and I seek, maybe,
or just am open?
Am waiting, I guess,
but hopefully,
as if it could be
the truth
because why not
have some faith
in my own mind
or whatever place
dreams come from?
