Poem: Accidental

Accidental

I do not know why
it never changed,
why the name
is still the same
when it is more
and not what it was,
when that name
is old and wrong
and reflects
how it once was
and nothing more.
It does not have a meaning.
It is just a calcification,
a remnant.  It was this way
and did not change.
There is not a reason
that I can give,
but I realize
that does not change
it having a meaning
just by it being this way,
even if none
was ever meant.
