Poem: There is a way forward

There is a way forward

and it requires a first step
that is taken without certainty,
without knowing
where or when
you will find the path.
It is not as if
there is no ground here,
though, it is not that difficult.
It is a challenge, in its way,
but the challenge is trusting and acting
and nothing more than that.
The danger is greater
when nothing is done,
when it stagnates and falls
and nothing comes back.
That is the danger:
I do not understand
why I am afraid
of the process
that can protect me.
