Poem: There could be danger in it

There could be danger in it

but I am too foolish
to worry about that,
am too tempted
and almost willing,
or at least wanting
to know, to be aware,
to understand
what is waiting.
I don't think
it is real,
don't trust
that it could be.
I know it is foolish,
of course I know that:
I am a fool, not an idiot.
