Poem: I did think it would have happened

I did think it would have happened

I expected it would not take all that long.
I don't know, now, if it will happen
or if it is less than likely,
or maybe I am being silly,
am impatient.  I don't know.
I am certain it means something,
the time it takes,
all of it is significant.
I cannot interpret it,
do not have a key
to decode what is within,
but it is there.
I will have to wait
until something arises
I can assess.
