Poem: I feel bad that I waited

I feel bad that I waited

and now you are there
and I am here
and I am being oblivious,
or acting as if I am being oblivious
since I do know you are here
but I need to do
what I am doing, need to finish.
I should have done it earlier
but that didn't happen.
I feel bad about that
even without feeling
as if I am ignoring you.
I should finish
so I can stop
and go downstairs.
