Poem: I am holding a bit of hope

I am holding a bit of hope

but I do not know
that I trust it very much.
The odds are not obvious,
but time is short
and there are few chances left.
I am hoping, still,
but it is only a small hope.
I don't think of it
as what will happen,
just what I want
that, maybe, could.
