Poem: They called again

They called again

They asked
if we are ready,
and we are not ready,
are not close to ready.
We will not be ready soon.
It is what I told them before.
I do not want them calling about it.
I have explained this before,
that it distresses me and is no good.
We will let them know when it is time.
Things have gone wrong.  We are trying,
are hoping that we can make it better,
but it is not close, is not anything close to ready.
It is only just beginning, if we are honest.
I don't want them to call again.  It is not alright.
It only makes things worse.  I told them this before
and they do not listen.  I want to have them listen,
but I know that they won't and I will get another call
and it won't be very long, I am certain.  It won't be
long enough for things to be better.  I don't care
if they want an update.  It only does harm
when I have to talk with them.
I am already in distress.
I can't deal with them too.
