Poem: Dawn Poem

Dawn Poem

Light has come in
the window, now,
has arrived here
from far off.  It travels
so much distance
to get here.
I can't imagine
that journey,
longer
than the world
is wide.  It comes
and I do not think
of that distance,
do not notice it,
not most of the time.
Now is different,
this thinking and writing,
it is not typical,
and I don't even know
why I started considering it,
except that it is morning
and it was dark minutes ago.
It is possible to notice miracles
but it takes effort.
