Poem: The Timing Was Bad

The Timing Was Bad

It is saddening
although it is minor
and I should just let it go
and not be all that upset.
it should be nothing much.
I am an adult
and should handle it
without making a fuss
or being out of joint.
No one did it on purpose,
it was just what happened.
Still, it does bother me.
Small a thing as it is,
it feels like another time
when joy has been stolen.
