Poem: I should have made you choose

I should have made you choose

should have been explicit
that it was the same thing
but in an opposite direction,
should have made it clear
I was in the same pain.
Of course, I know
that if I had
it would not have helped.
You would not care,
would have been the same.
I am certain
the only difference
would be
in making it explicit.
You would have to admit
you were against me.
I suppose
I would prefer
if you were honest,
even if what you said
was that cruel.
