Poem: I should have gone

I should have gone

I did not want
to regret the choice I made
to stay away just then.
When I chose
I knew it would be
no good if it became a regret.
But it is, now,
I regret not going.
I believed there would be
another chance,
but I was betrayed
and now it is gone.
