Poem: I had thought I was lost

I had thought I was lost

but it was easy to return
to the place I started from.
It surprises me.
I found my way
with no difficulty,
which is not what happens,
is not an experience
I have had all that often.
This time, I was lucky.
I am appreciating it
as one should appreciate
rare things.
