Poem: You tell me you do not want to go there

You tell me you do not want to go there

even though the information you received
makes it seem like a good place,
one we might enjoy.  But
you will not go there now,
because of the source
for the information.
Not that you do not trust them,
but as a matter of principle, I suppose.
Do not ask me to explain
what principle it is.
I am not going to concern myself
with understanding more
than what is already clear.
