Poem: I want you to fix it
I want you to fix it
or what does it matter?
The promise you made
needs to be one you keep,
there cannot be any alternative.
It is why it is a promise.
I am terrified that it is not possible.
It is too late to keep that promise,
I know what will he said if I speak of it.
But I am terrified. A world where
that promise is unkept is one in which
I must always fear, in which I can never be safe.
I will not pretend those are not the stakes.
