Poem: I am slow, but I am learning

I am slow, but I am learning

Do not think I am not,
or assume I am unwilling to change.
I want to be different.
It would be better for me.
I am aware.  It is not easy, though,
but I am noticing it for myself, now.
I think that is a start.  I think it is.
It is not enough to make it better,
but I believe it is a small step
on the proper path.
