Poem: I know, I Must Say Nothing

I know, I Must Say Nothing

I fear it will come out.
I know that I cannot let it.
It would be unkind of me,
though I know, the way it is now,
what has happened, is worse,
makes each thing done worse,
even knowing that,
I should say nothing to you.
It would not make it better.
Even if it changed things,
rearranged the situation
to reflect my own wants,
it would mean something terrible.
