Poem: We Did Not Notice It

We Did Not Notice It

until today,
and we are sorry.
It was good of you
and we did not notice.
What must you think
that we have said nothing?
It was an oversight,
not intended, not cruel,
not intentionally cruel.
We did not mean that.
We were simply busy
and did not pay attention.
It is not a good reason
but it is still true.
