Poem: All of It Is Gone Now

All of It Is Gone Now

It will be,
at least for a time.
It will return,
but maybe
it will not be
needed, not be
asked for again.
That would be best.
If only it were possible
to become free,
to not want any longer,
to not just be without,
but to be without
and not think
it is gone,
not even notice
any longer.
That would be fine,
but will it come?
How long
until it is that way,
or will the need
always remain?
