Poem: You Say You Do Not Understand

You Say You Do Not Understand

as if it is a question,
but I have no answers,
am not the one
who can tell you more.
Do you think that is silly?
I must be aware of it all,
you think, but it is nothing
that works in such simple ways.
It is a journey and a place to be
and is nothing close to either.
There is a destination
which is in all our hearts
but forgotten by our minds.
You and I can find it
if we are not looking,
if we distract ourselves
by seeking other things
and the same nothing.
