Poem: It Is Not Going Well Tonight

It Is Not Going Well Tonight

It is more than worrying.
Is this, perhaps, the point
when it becomes too late?
The imbalance can't be corrected.,
not any longer:
it feels that way.  I do not know,
but I feel endangered,
the ground beneath
may already be gone.
Perhaps, we are only waiting
to notice our own fall.
