Poem: This Is to Be A New Start

This Is to Be A New Start

It all began with ease
and could have gone forward
just as it was, could have,
was ready, was happening
and moving, making the progress
that would have led
to a destination,
but it was clear
it was only going
to that place, again,
going back there,
and so soon,
returning.  Maybe
it would have worked,
would have gone farther,
not just to the same destination
but beyond it.  That is possible.
I suppose it could have happened,
but it seemed best to begin again.
If that journey is still to be made
it can begin another day
just easily as it did on this one.
