Poem: The Spark of It Was Enough

The Spark of It Was Enough,

That is what made it
and that can be had
without more, with just that.
It is not always so:
it can take a great deal.
There are many times
when it is best to continue.
It is more often that way,
I find it is more often that way.
It may not be everyone's experience.
I can only say how it is for me,
how I find it to be when I try.
But even so, it is not one way,
not with consistency.  One time
it is this, the next, it is that.
It is knowing which is which,
recognizing the times
when it is just this that is needed
and keeping from treating them
the way you do
when it would not be enough.
