Poem: Is There A Way?

Is There A Way?

I do not know,
not any longer,
but I understand
it is needed.
If it cannot be,
what is there?
It does not change
the need itself.
The flower thirsts
for water, needs it,
even in a drought.
Tell it their is none,
even if it can be convinced,
the need remains unsated.
