Poem: Isolation

Isolation

It is no good
that I go,
I know
it is not good,
does not help
that I leave
to spend hours
over there,
but I am lonely
without you,
without being
with you.
I cannot be
at your side,
and so I go,
though I
should stay,
I know.
It matters,
though you
are in other rooms,
I know it matters
that I am here.
